Lacie did every trick in the book to try their best to not cover me. Because I had let it sit for over a month, it was out of the Newegg exchange policy. After that it started rebuilding the RAID every 3 days like clock work. I then setup the unit in a RAID-1 and it worked fast and flawless for exactly 2 weeks. The first unit that I bought sat boxed for one month until I had my new iMac shipped in.

The software allows for the shutting off of one of the LEDs, but hey, the software likes ignoring settings that I apply in it so what use is that. Enough to light up a football stadium at night. I am also so unsure of the software that I am not sure if I want to trust what it displays.Īs for the hardware, did I mention that there are obnoxiously bright LEDs everywhere on this thing? You know the LED that your Maglite spotlight flashlight uses? This thing has 4 of them. Really have to fight with the software to get it to remember anything (up until the next reboot anyhow). It is buggy and likes to not remember settings no matter how many times they are applied. It does not display much of anything, or anything in a technical manor at all.
